The Ebonys
Twenty-five years ago The Ebonys brought the soulful Philadelphia sounds to a nation. The Ebonys then went on to release two albums, one of which reached the top of the pop charts.

David Beasley, the creator of The EBONYS, assembled four incredible vocalists, William "Smoke" Howard, Nate Cephas, McKensey Crawford and Lorna Dixon, who all sing lead as well as background. Beasley chose each singer for their distinctive style and versatility that brings new life to the Sound of Philadelphia.

William, known as "Smoke", gives the Ebonys' sound a raspy edge and soulful body. Smoke's rugged voice is part of the powerful sound that distinguishes many of the Ebonys songs.

Nate is the glue that holds the Ebonys' smooth harmony together.

McKensey's vocal range is so remarkable it will stop you in your tracks.

Lorna's vocal range spans from sweet soprano to throaty alto.

Enjoy the smooth, soulful sounds of The Ebonys. It's Forever.
