For nearly two decadesLonnie has graced the dance
charts with such worldwide number hits as “Happening All Over Again,” “Gonna
Catch You”, “Bad Mood.” "No Regrets" and "Love
Eviction" to name but a few. This truly talented artist has personally set
high standards for herself and has more than reached them everytime.
From humble beginnings in the New York Bronx districts to gracing
Stages all over the world. Lonnie has never forgotten her roots and it clearly
eminent that she has been graced with the unique ability to apply herself to
almost anything that is put to her. She began singing at the age of 6 and got
her break at just 13 years old at the famous Apollo Theatre in New York at age doing
amateur hours, but this was just the first stepping stone to her now very
highly successful career. Lonnie then stepped across the pond
to the UK in late eighties, and the audiences were wowed by here sheer
vocal talents and energy, after releasing some huge dance anthems she
came to the attention of the lengendary producers Stock Aitken And Waterman.
Lonnie went on to record Happenin All Over Again which
quickly went top ten, and was followed by a string of other smash hits.
Europe quickly followed, and this is when the United States beckoned Lonnie back
to her mother land. Lonnie signed to SBK records and had many No1 dance
hits, as well as the much talked about smash hit album "Bad
Mood"
Over the last four years Lonnie has starred as the lead vocalist and narrator
for "Zumanity" another side of Cirque du Soleil, in Las Vegas.
Working with Cirque du Soleil and moving to Las Vegas, was a bold career move that
provided an opportunity for Lonnie to showcase her strong vocals and incredible
stage presence.
This engagement allowed her to both learn, and understand the
inner workings of what is considered the most successful theatrical company in
the world. It also prepared her, for the next stage of her long distinguished
career, becoming a Performing Artist encasing her all-round talent.
