Cleveland, Ohio comic scene, A.J. knew he was destined for this particular aspect of show business.  Growing up, he was always armed with a technique for making people laugh at the drop of a dime. There is no mistake that there was already a master plan created for him to use his talents for this one special purpose.

A.J. Jamal’s success to date is the proven result of many years of hard work. Having served as an engineer for IBM,  he learned to take a unique and analytical approach to comedy.   A.J. was born to make people laugh and he is a natural at doing so.  Being the self-proclaimed, “King Of Clean”,  A.J. is best known for his various television appearances on: “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno, HBO’s “Comic Relief ”,  “Show Time at the Apollo” and the Ace Award winning television series, “Comic Justice” on Comedy Central. In fact, most people would remember his earlier longtime stint on the critically acclaimed hit show “In Living Color” in which he was famous for his funny parodies alongside the likes of Jamie Fox and Jim Carrey.

A.J. Jamal is ready to unleash more of his comedic mayhem on his most devoted and newly established

company, SWIRL TV LLC.  Although comedy and acting is his first love, he is taking a hands-on approach to the structural positioning of his company, producing quality full-length feature films, television shows and animation.

He has built a team of focused and competitive professionals who share his vision to reach a wider audience with quality programming. A supreme effort is being placed on Elephant Filmz and Music’s first reality-based television series that introduces A.J. Jamal as “Mr. Reality”. A.J. also takes additional initiatives by diving into the world of animation creating shows like “The LiL Knuckleheads”, “Tomato Love”, “Cisco & Ripple”, and his newly formed deal with Imagine Films on the animated feature, “Pookie Poo”.
